Accountancy firm names managing partners in Aberdeen and Edinburgh



Business advisory and accountancy firm Anderson Anderson & Brown has appointed managing partners in its Aberdeen and Edinburgh offices.

Derek Mitchell will take over at the Granite City head office with its team of 250 and Lyn Calder in the capital, which has a staff of 40, on 1 April.

They will oversee AAB’s audit, business advisory, tax, corporate finance, payroll & employment taxes, consulting and wealth management services in their respective offices.

Tax specialist Mitchell joined 14 years ago and is head of the firm’s Business Advisory Group. Calder joined the Corporate Finance team shortly before AAB opened its Edinburgh office in June 2018 and is head of deals in the Central Belt.

AAB is aiming for revenue of £40million by 2022 and to create 100 new jobs in its Edinburgh office, as well as expanding its business in London and internationally where in the last three months it has secured more than £3million worth of new opportunities. In the last 12 months, client numbers and fee income are up 15%.
