Abzu, Subnautica, and other titles on sale now for Steam’s World Environment Day Sale – Polygon

Steam is having a sale to encourage protection and awareness of the Earth’s environment. When you buy a game from the promotion, a portion of each sale will be donated to organizations like Greenpeace, the World Land Trust, and The Nature Conservancy.

Johan Gjestland, developer of bird flight simulator Fugl and organizer of the sale, says that the event is a way to promote non-violent video games. The sale list includes meditative, artistic, and relaxing titles that Gjestland hopes will help people understand that video games offer a wide variety of experiences.

The event starts today and runs until 4:00 p.m. EST on June 7, 2019. The sale offers a number of discounts on environmentally-themed video games like Abzu, Everything, and Subnautica.
