Abby Lee Miller of Dance Moms fame has taken her first few steps in public after a long cancer battle.

The 52-year-old Pennsylvania native showed off how strong she has become when she pulled herself up out of her seat and held onto her walker as she moved her feet a few paces while appearing on The Doctors with Dr Travis Stork on Monday.

‘Everybody put your hands together and pray,’ said the reality TV star. ‘This is so scary, you have no idea.’

Her doctor Lawrence Piro explained that she not only had back surgery, but also had her knee replaced this summer.

And while it would take most patients six weeks to get back into shape, he said Abby worked overtime on her rehab and is already doing fine after just three weeks.

Miller wore all black with a long black wig and several pieces of gold jewelry for her appearance. She also had on black Nike sneakers.

She pulled herself up with the help of a walker and put one foot in front of the other. Abby did not walk very far but it seemed to be a big improvement for the beleaguered star.

She then stood for a moment with her hands off the walker as her doctor cheered.

‘Thank you all for having me,’ she said after her steps.

During the show, she also talked about her struggle with Burkitt Lymphoma, admitting she has missed check-up screenings since she went into remission.

Her oncologist Piro shares that 10 percent to 20 percent chance the cancer has returned, and delivers the results of her latest scans on-air.

Since her cancer diagnosis and subsequent surgeries last year Abby has been temporarily paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.

Abby will be on the reunion special of Dance Moms on Lifetime.

She certainly has been struggling with being in a wheelchair.

In July she fell out of her wheelchair when trying to fly on American Airlines. She complained there was not enough assistance.

‘Help! “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” isn’t that the truth? Let’s just say my transfer from the aisle chair [sic] to my own chair didn’t go so well!’ the TV star captioned an image on social media while at Pittsburgh International Airport, Pennsylvania.

Abby added that while the staff were rude and didn’t even blink an eye while she was on the ground, some helpful passengers came to her rescue.

‘The move should’ve happened on the bridge like usual and not in front of a hundred ppl waiting to board, I shouldn’t have had to ask for someone to call the paramedics and maybe the @americanair Gate Mgr should’ve at the very least asked if I was ok?’ she continued.

‘Thank you to all the Pgh international Airport Escorts that were so very kind & the hot firemen who swiftly got me on my feet, into my chair & on my way!!!’

And opting to stay away from American Airlines, her next flight on Tuesday saw her switch to United Airlines.

Abby shared her journey on social media once again, revealing this time around her chair had been broken – however, staff were much more gracious.

‘So United didn’t break me thank goodness, they just broke my wheelchair!’

She continued: ‘The United employee was wonderful to me. She’s having it fixed!’

American Airlines has since told DailyMail.com in a statement that the incident was with a contractor.
