Aaron Paul has addressed the rumoured Breaking Bad movie, telling fans that he’d “love to do it”.

The actor starred as Jesse Pinkman in the award-winning series from 2008 to 2013. While the film is yet to be officially confirmed, showrunner Vince Gilligan revealed back in November that he is planning a brand new movie that will have concrete ties to the same universe as Breaking Bad.

Speaking at the Sun Valley Film Festival, Paul didn’t confirm whether he was directly involved in the project, but he did say that he would be open to reprising the character.

“Rumors are funny — I once heard a rumor that I was being cast as Han Solo,” Paul said, according to Variety. “I haven’t heard anything about the Breaking Bad movie but if there is one and it comes together I’d love to be a part of it.” “If it were to happen, yes, I would love to do it.”

Paul added that if the movie does go ahead, it should focus on Jesse. “In case you haven’t caught up on the TV series, Walter dies, so….it has to star Jesse,” he said.

Towards the end of last year, Brian Cranston confirmed news of the film in an interview on The Dan Patrick Show. Cranston said he had not yet seen the script but that he had spoken to Gilligan about the film.

“There’s a question of whether we would even see Walter White in this movie,” Cranston told radio host Dan Patrick.
