A recent survey of gamers provided some interesting insights about gaming and music. Over at Casino.org, they surveyed over 1,200 “self-described gamers” to find the most recognizable game theme music and other sound effects from gaming history. In addition, the gamers revealed what genre of music they listen to while gaming and what the survey deemed the “Merits of Music.”
I will say that I’m surprised at how low some of the sound effects ranked such as “Hadouken!,” “Hey, listen!,” and “Falcon punch!.” I thought those would be way higher percentages than they were in actuality. What do you think of these findings?
