A Place In The Sun presenter teases new TV role during break from show 'A first for me'

Laura Hamilton, 38, and her A Place In The Sun co-stars are currently away from filming for the show as travelling overseas remains restricted.

But, this hasn’t stopped the television presenter from getting stuck into other projects.

Yesterday, she took to her Instagram story to tell fans she had ordered a camera kit to do some filming from home.

In view of her 79,000 followers, she teased: “I am filming something at home, how exciting and it’s not A Place In The Sun.”

Today, she shared further details about her new move.

Sharing details, she said: “[They’re] not necessarily property or TV ideas that I would be in, it’s just ideas where I think, ‘Oh that would make a good TV show’ so I’m just pitching them to channels.

“Before this all happened, a channel was quite interested in an idea that I had [but] it’s getting it across the line.

“I’m just trying to be a bit creative.”

The property expert said she had also been filming videos with her husband Alex to give fans an insight into their home life and marriage.

In one of their first videos, Laura attempted to cut her spouse’s hair, but joked he “got angry” with her for filming him in his pants.

She said: “Every once in a while we are going to try and do a video of fun stuff that is going on at home or something around the shop [their coffee shop].

“There are funny things that happen up there. I think that’s what people need is a bit of a laugh, people can see a different side to me.

“I feel like people don’t get to see what our lives are really like, like a lot of people on tele.”

She added: “I did start videoing his hair cut and he was in his pants and he went, ‘Put a towel around me!’

“He stopped the video halfway through because he was getting so angry with me.”

A Place In The Sun continues today at 3pm on Channel 4.
