A Place In The Sun presenter reveals how prospective buyer on show ‘changed her life’

Laura Hamilton spoke out after the latest episode of the Channel 4 property show aired, focusing on Gary and Carol as they searched for a home in France. The A Place In The Sun regular shared a number of Instagram videos, featuring a new addition, as she showed her gratitude to the prospective buyer and the programme. The 37-year-old, who first joined the hit back in 2011, said she had been unable to secure somewhere for the couple to live but he had managed much more for her. In the uploads shared with her 47,000 followers, she started: “Good afternoon! Hopefully you tuned into the episode of A Place In The Sun today, if you didn’t, why not?”

Laura continued: “It was me, Gary and Carol in France and one of the things I love about the show is obviously finding people their dream homes in the sun and changing their lives.

“Well, today’s episode, when I met Gary and Carol they actually changed my life.”(sic)

The small screen favourite then went on to discuss what happened “shortly after filming”.

She explained, walking outside: “Gary, who was a builder if you watched today’s show, he came to my house and he built me a little place in the garden with his son Rod.

“And they did an amazing job – oh it’s raining right now – but he built that. He built that for me.”

Laura went on to give viewers a tour of the new extra space in her garden, which could be seen next to her swimming pool.

Inside, a luxurious bedroom could be seen complete with double bed, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette.

“This is it!!!… @aplaceinthesunoffical THANK YOU GARY,” she captioned it on her Instagram story.

Laura then added: “So that’s the little house in the garden. And I just want to say thank you to a A Place In The Sun for getting Gary onto the show.

“Although I didn’t find him his place in the sun or I couldn’t secure the deal – he built a little house for us.”

Meanwhile, this morning, she looked stunning in a causal upload, as she enjoyed a brew outside.

Wearing her blonde tresses down and straight, Laura teamed a pastel pink jacket with a bold striped dress.

She captioned: “Starting the morning with a coffee at our place @lordrobertsonthegreen. Sending a big thank you to @danni.menzies and @mainsoftaymouthcountryestate for their kind prize donation for our summer event raising money for @sandcastletrust launching at our Summer Fair.

“… More information will be on our website soon! #summer #kindness #charity #fundraiser #local.”

It comes just hours after Jasmine Harman said “it still hurt” as she spoke out on an “emotional” moment.

A Place In The Sun airs weekdays at 4pm on Channel 4.
