A Place In The Sun presenter Jasmine Harman talks 'devastating’ moment on filming location

A Place In The Sun presenter Jasmine Harman, 43, took to Instagram to share a video of a beach in Spain which had been ruined by flooding.

Last week, many areas in Eastern Spain experienced their worst floods on record.

Today, Jasmine filmed herself walking on a beach in the country’s region Murcia.

The presenter admitted the sand felt “strange” following the recent flooding.

At first, the property expert shared a picture of herself smiling to the camera with views of the beach in the background.

She commented: “Morning! #buenosdias back to the grindstone! Lucky we weren’t filming last week as the whole place was flooded!

“So unbelievable the devastation caused by the worst rains in 40 years! @aplaceinthesunofficial.”

Many of the star’s 26,000 followers flocked to her page to comment.

One user wrote: “I live there it is worst rains for 100 years… so much devastation.”

A second commented: “You make Monday’s better,” while a third penned: “Worse storms since 1917!. My holiday cancelled unfortunately.”

Jasmine then took to her Instagram story to give fans a further glimpse of the aftermath of flooding.

Strolling along the beach, she said to the camera: “So I’m here in Murcia actually, Mar Menor.

“As you can see it’s lovely and sunny, but the sand is like quicksand because it has all been flooded, it’s very weird.”

Jasmine then dipped her feet in the water, as she continued: “You know I always like a little Monday morning dip in the sea… look how weird it is.

“It’s lovely and warm but everything is a bit strange because of the flooding.”

Elsewhere earlier this month, Jasmine Harman said she was an “emotional mess” after her children started their new year of school.

Appearing teary-eyed on camera, she said to her fans: “I’ve been having a bit of an emotional morning.

“I’ve been a bit weepy this morning, you can probably see in my eyes. My little baby boy has gone off in his school uniform to nursery at my daughter’s school,” she added.

“So, I’ve been a bit of an emotional mess.

“He didn’t even look back, not even so much as a, ‘You’ll be alright, mum,’” Jasmine lamented.

Trying to pull herself together, she added: “Anyway, I’m sure all you parents out there know what I’m going through this morning.”

Jasmine shares two children with her husband Jon Boast, whom she married in 2009.

A Place In The Sun continues today at 3pm on Channel 4.
