A Place In The Sun presenter involved in ‘scary’ hospital situation with daughter

Laura Hamilton has opened up about her daughter Tahlia’s health problems, admitting things took a scary turn recently. The A Place In The Sun presenter said the four-year-old developed a cyst on her eyeball, which needed “cutting out”. The 37-year-old, who is also mum to son Rocco, five, said the situation was a worrying time for the family, just two years after the youngest developed lumps on her spine. She discussed her little one’s struggles as well as life as a mother of two and dealing with their “stubbornness”.

Speaking to Celebrity Secrets about her kids’ health, Laura commented: “We’ve had some scary situations with Tahlia.

“Most recently she developed a cyst on her eyeball, which the hospital said would need cutting out.”

The blonde beauty welcomed her daughter with husband Alex Goward into the world back in 2015, two years before their little boy.

Laura continued: “A few years ago we had an awful situation where she developed five lumps around her spine.

“We had to have all sorts of tests in hospital and she even went under general anaesthetic for an MRI. They suspected lots of nasty diseases.”

They later discovered it was a rare, “weird viral thing” and Tahlia is now doing better than ever.

On keeping her children healthy, Laura revealed: “Rocco and Tahlia have literally lived in the water with all the travel they’ve done and are both amazing little swimmers.

“Rocco’s now part of a squad and is learning butterfly, which is pretty impressive for a five-year-old. Even I can’t do that!”

Finally, discussing how she deals when they “play up”, she added: “It’s a challenge, especially with Rocco who’s very stubborn.

“Tahlia is much easier at the moment. I’ve found that taking away privileges is a better way of disciplining then more than anything else. Putting them in ‘time out’ is quite effective, too.”

It comes just days after A Place In The Sun presenter Laura Hamilton spoke out about how she can never have a baby naturally.

Meanwhile, she regularly shares family updates from around the world in view of her 55,000 Instagram followers.

Yesterday, Laura wowed in a boob-baring, plunging snakeskin swimsuit during some downtime from the Channel 4 programme.

She captioned it: “Charmed by my snakeskin print swimsuit. Whilst this weeks House Hunters mull over the properties they have seen so far, I’m going to spend the afternoon at the pool @aplaceinthesunofficial.”

“View from our home in San Pedro de Alcántara is one I [love], after a day of [filming] @aplaceinthesunofficial close by… #myview #home #travel #werk #spain #sanpedrodealcantara #lauraslook @sheinofficial,” she also wrote.

A Place In The Sun continues today at 3pm on Channel 4.
