A match made in Love Island heaven or hell? Dating expert lifts lid on couple chemistry

Series 5 of Love Island is coming back to our screens on Monday 3rd June.

And after the new lineup was released this week, we’re sure we can expect sparks to fly between the latest sexy singles along with plenty of drama, too.

Last year’s show saw viewers go through a rollercoaster of emotions as they watched contestants make up and break up quicker than we could say “I’m loyal babe”.

Just when we thought it was a match made in heaven for two sexy singles, we were quickly dealt a blow as they swiftly their sights upon another.

So with this year’s show just around the corner, we decided to find out the tell-tale signs that could reveal who will be coupling up.

Daily Star Online spoke to internationally recognised dating coach, TED speaker and start-up founder Hayley Quinn to see how we can spot potential matches in those saucy housemates.

She explained: “Chemistry is a complicated science beyond looks and pheromones, there are a lot of factors that work together to create attraction.

“Familiarity is certainly one of them, but this doesn’t necessarily have to be about looks, it could be that two people are from a similar background, or are paired together early on in the process and form a bond.

“Also sometimes it is the case that the cast member who isn’t so popular amongst the same sex, maybe a hit with the opposite sex, as was the case with Love Island’s Megan or the arrival of Adam Collard.

“So I would look out for contestants who are strong characters as standing out the most from the ‘competition’ and for couples to form between the people who incidentally spend the most time together in the early episodes.

“As everyone goes into Love Island looking for a match, it shouldn’t take much for the feeling of romance to spark.”

Elsewhere, Tyson Fury’s hunky brother Tommy is already tipped to win the show thanks to his feisty personality and charm.
