The highly-anticipated 90210 reboot is going to be hitting screens Stateside this evening (Tuesday, August 6) on Fox at 9/8c. The show is a reimagining of the classic teen hit Beverly Hills 90210 which first aired in 1990 and ran for 10 years. BH90210 is going to be taking a meta turn and won’t be picking up with the well-loved characters after nearly 20 years.
Instead, the new series is a mockumentary which sees the cast playing larger-than-life versions of themselves as they embark on the reboot for the show.
BH90210 will see Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling all returning.
However, Luke Perry – who played bad boy Dylan McKay – died from a stroke earlier this year and won’t be featuring in the show.
Perry was not scheduled to feature in BH90210 due to his commitments on Riverdale but this new show will be paying tribute to the late cast member.

The show will follow the cast as they try to resurrect the Nineties cult classic.
Fox teases: “Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Shannen, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a “Beverly Hills, 90210” reboot up and running.
“But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself.

“What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?”
Speaking about the challenge of making the show relevant nearly 30 years after the original premiere, co-showrunner Mike Chessler said: “So much of what happens in the show is inspired by what was happening in the cast’s real lives.”
Chessler continued to Variety: “They had all reconnected at a convention and some of them hadn’t seen each other for a long time.
“And the experience of all being together at this convention and seeing how the fans loved seeing them together — and more than that seeing how they really enjoyed being together — made them think maybe it was time.”
How to watch the Beverly Hills 90210 reboot online
BH90210 can be livestreamed on Fox’s website but this is only available to those in America.
American viewers can also watch BH90210 on the Fox Now app which allows users to watch programmes on the go.
Shows can be watched either live or on demand on mobiles and tablets through the Fox Now app.
The Fox Now app is free to download and watch content on.
Fox content is also available to stream on Hulu but it’s unclear whether BH90210 will be available on the US streaming service.
BH90210 is yet to get a UK release date and depending on its success in America could determine whether the show will be airing on this side of the Atlantic.
