7 cocktails to enjoy during London Cocktail Week

A month long celebration of cocktails is coming in October as part of an extended London Cocktail Week.

London Cocktail Week, running the entire month, aims to help the cocktail industry recover after months of lockdown.

As part of the celebrations, a festival wristband (£15) gets you access to £6 cocktails in bars all around London for a cocktail tour.

Here are the ones we’re looking forward to trying…

1. Bamboo Cocktail

Bar Americain, an art deco cocktail lounge located downstairs in Brasserie Zedel in Soho, is offering a low ABV Bamboo Cocktail with Noilly Prat vermouth, sweet vermouth and a sherry blend infused with coffee beans.

2. Whisky Me Away

Christopher’s Martini Bar in Covent Garden is offering a whisky-based cocktail. Based with 12-year-old Scotch whisky, it comes with blood orange liqueur, homemade lavender syrup, cranberry and lemon juice and Peychaud’s bitters.

3. Greatest Of All Thyme

This Tanqueray gin cocktail from the Dirty Bones Soho bar comes with kumquat liqeur, thyme tincture, chamomile infused honey water, lemon, yuzu, egg white and pear preserve. Fruity!

4. Son of a Birch

The gorgeous West Hampstead bar Heads and Tails will be serving up a Bergamot liqeur and birch cordial cocktail.

Enjoy the split decor of the bar from day to night, as the light interiors of the ground floor space go into the dark basement space.

5. Peachylicious

The tiny (literally, garage-sized) Home Bar in Shoreditch is serving up a peachy cocktail of Bulleit bourbon, bitter liquer, lime juice, white peach syrup and Pechaud bitters. It sounds seriously refreshing.

The cosy Little Blue Door bar in Fulham will be giving cocktail lovers the chance to try a cocktail with Monkey Shoulder Scotch whisky, Martini Rosso vermouth, amaretto, fresh egg white, lemon juice and sugar syrup.

7. Sgroppino

The elderflower liquer, prosecco and lemon sorbet cocktail from Swift in Soho sounds amazingly refreshingly.

£6. 12 Old Compton Street, London, W1D 4TQ.

A £15 festival wristband is valid for the entire month of October and unlocks access to The Cocktail Tours, £6 Signature Serves in hundreds bars across London.
