With Black Friday right around the corner we’ve decided to compile a list of must-have video games to gift this holiday season. 2019 was a great year for games, but a few stand-out in particular. Players can look for Pokemon, battle their Pokemon with other trainers, and explore the new world of Galar while on a journey to become the strongest trainer in the region. The game retails for $119 for both games, or around $60 for either Sword or Shield.
Death Stranding

Fans of action games will love Death Stranding, a game that lets players play as Sam Bridges, a courier in a dystopian version of the United States where terrifying, half-alive creatures roam the planet looking for prey. This open world game boasts between 40 and 50 hours of gameplay to play the story from start to finish with stunning landscapes and detailed graphics that make those hours invested in the game a sight to behold. Truly, it’s the gift that keeps on giving. Death Stranding retails for $59.99 at all major retailers.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

The 16th game in the Call of Duty franchise made its debut in 2019. While its likely that die hard fans of the game franchise have already grabbed (and likely finished) a copy of Modern Warfare, less dedicated gamers will probably have it on their wishlist for 2019. Loot boxes have famously been removed from the game as many gaming platforms crack down on the gambling-like in-game purchase strategy. However, many of the beloved features in this combat game are included. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare retails for $59.99 at all major retailers.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

With The Mandalorian having just aired on Disney+ for the first time this month and a new Star Wars movie hitting theaters before the end of the year, it’s a big couple of months for the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is no exception to that. The long awaited game, published by Electronic Arts, is set in the Star Wars universe and lets you play as Cal Kestis, an aspiring Jedi. Reviewers have hailed the game as a glimpse into the next phase of the Star Wars universe in a post-Jedi world.
