They’re one of the biggest bands to ever come out of Australia.

And testing their rock star status, 5 Seconds Of Summer like to push the boundaries when it comes to their backstage riders while on tour.

On Sunday, singer Luke Hemmings revealed their one odd request for each venue.

Speaking to Metro, the frontman confessed that during their first few world tours, they would request a puppy for their dressing room.

‘We used to ask for a puppy, but nowhere ever did that…,’ he told the publication.

However, member Ashton Irwin, 24, revealed the bizarre request was met once.

The drummer joked: ‘Except Russia, we got a fresh puppy there.’

Discussing how they’ve become slightly less rock and roll with their rider these days, Ashton added that food is their main priority before taking to the stage.

‘[It’s] nothing too crazy, it’s always the same thing, guac, salsa and chips.’

After forming in Sydney in 2011, 5SOS have taken the world by storm.

Following their years building a huge following on social media while playing with One Direction, 2018 was their most successful time to date.

The group’s third album, Youngblood, stormed the charts globally, with the title track spending months at number one in Australia.

In July, they’ll be returning home to perform on The Voice Australia’s live final.
