But now travel influencers have one of the most lusted-after jobs on the planet.
In this day and age, where Instagram travel influencers are in abundance, it can be hard to find to sort the wheat from the chaff – so we’ve done the hard work for you.
Here are 30 of our favourite travel-based Instagram accounts that are sure to get your wanderlust hearts fluttering.

As the marketing manager for Amazon, you can say Emily Thomas leads a pretty hectic life. But this doesn’t stop the Seattle, Washington-based woman from moonlighting as an Instagram storyteller.
Her feed is full of lush pictures of nature and Emily sure has a knack for lighting.
2. @polabur
Originally from Russia, Polina Burashnikova now resides in Amsterdam but travels often.
Her feed is full of florals, adventures to stunning locales, delectable foods and rose-tinted hues.
From Southern California, Kristin Addis is now travelling the world solo and sharing her adventures with her 109,000 followers.
Kristin has been travelling around the globe since September 2012 with no plans to stop anytime soon. Her feed showcases some of the world’s most gorgeous natural wonders – always pleasing to the eye.
Claire Menary is a London-based travel blogger with an eye for detail. Her feed is filled with visits to London hotspots and snippets into the lives of other cultures.
Jess Gibson is a luxury travel blogger based in the UK. Her mission is to ‘see the world in style’ – something she’s clearly achieving. Jess’ feed contains luxe pictures of her travels to some of the world’s greatest cities.
