In March rugby union’s Six Nations championship ends with the final two rounds of fixtures while in Formula 1 the season starts with the first grand prix in Melbourne, Australia.

Coming up in April the Grand National horse race takes place at Aintree, the 2019 Boat Race will be held in London and Mo Farah is part of a strong field for the London Marathon.

Cricket fans are counting down the days until a summer spectacular. England face Pakistan in ODI and T20 matches and then from May to July the ICC Cricket World Cup will take place at grounds across England and Wales.

The 2019 Ashes is also on the summer schedule as the Australia Test team head to England hoping to retain the famous urn.

The highlight of the winter sporting calendar will be the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan from September to November.
