2 more Xbox 360 video games gain Xbox One backwards compatibility today – OnMSFT

The Xbox 360 video games, AirMech Arena and Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway, are now backwards compatible with Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles.
AirMech Arena originally launched on the Xbox 360 in 2014 but also got an Xbox One release the following year and a Windows 10 release in 2018.

There doesn’t appear to be too many differences between the different versions and all three are free to download and play. Cross-saving between each version doesn’t appear to be possible though so the addition of the Xbox 360 version to Xbox One will likely be appreciated by those who want to continue with their saved game progress rather than start anew with the Xbox One release.

Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway is a first-person shooter that came out on the Xbox 360 way back in 2008. It’s the third entry in the Brothers In Arms video game series and was also the final one to launch on an Xbox console. Most of the sequels made after Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway came out on smartphones. Interestingly, the final game in the series, Brothers in Arms 3: Sons of War, got a release on Windows phone.
