15 Days on Channel 5: ‘Sickening!’ Viewers SWITCH OFF after brutal death on dark drama

15 Days follows a family returning to their childhood home in Wales for the will reading of their late mother.

Tonight, Channel 5 viewers tuned in to see the penultimate episode of the drama with events taking a dark turn at the end of the episode.

Teenager Rhys (played by Tom Rhys Harries) was seen beating a cow to death, in extremely dramatic and disturbing scenes.

Those watching at home were shocked by the nature of the murder and took to social media to comment on the death.

One viewer posted: “15days Can’t stand this animal cruelty any more, I’m out!”

Another added: “15Days Enough with the animal cruelty. First the dog, now this. Disgusting. Ghastly load of people.”

A third opined: “15days now that’s brutal,” with a fourth adding: “WTF is it with this and cruelty to animals. #15Days.”(sic)

The scenes even led some viewers to turn off, with a fifth remarking: “After the dog killing, and now this, I’ve switched over. These writers need to find other ways for characters to express their anger. Gratuitous animal cruelty is both clichéd and sickening #15days.”

Referring to the killing of a pet dog earlier in the series, a sixth stated: “15days first a dog is shot and now a cow had its head caved in.. This is BS.”(sic)

It was revealed in earlier episodes Rhys had been struggling to come to terms with his father’s death five years ago when the character tragically drowned.

After killing the cow so brutally at the end of tonight’s episode, could Rhys be revealed as the unknown assailant who shot a family member at the beginning of the week?

The fourth and final episode will play out tomorrow night, but the appearance of former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, 35, delighted viewers earlier this week.

Catherine hasn’t been seen on screen since her exit from the cobbles as Eva Price last year, so starring as family member Sara in the Channel 5 drama caused a stir with viewers.

With the actress donning a Welsh accent for the role, one viewer posted: “@Cath_Tyldesley Welsh accent is cracking! Great programme so far.”

Others were thrown as another added: “#15days @channel5_tv Trying to get my head around #CatherineTyldesley with dark hair and a #Welshaccent.”

As for what’s in store for viewers tomorrow night, they are going to see Michael turn the tables on Nia.

Subsequently, Sara is forced to come to her sister’s recuse.

Also in the finale episode, Baby Cai ends up going missing and understandably Rhys is sent into a frenzy.

But, the whole family are going to be affected when he gives them an ultimatum which could see them leaving Dolmen.

Will the events of the week change the corse of the families life forever?

15 Days concludes tomorrow night on Channel 5 at 9pm.
