Teen drama 13 Reasons Why returns for a third season after the shocking finale of season two.
Netflix recommissioned the young-adult series in 2018 after the second series proved to be a hit.
Instead of Hannah, the new season of 13 Reasons Why will focus on the mysterious death of Bryce Walker.
Fans can expect a whodunnit type of series, in which each character becomes a possible suspect in his murder.
With main actor Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay Jensen, teasing the scripts are some of the “show’s best”, expectations are high.

The release date for 13 Reasons Why Season Season 3 is Friday, August 23.
The first two seasons are already available on the streaming service.

The Netflix original series will release at 8am BST / midnight PST / 3am EST.
Expect the entire 13 episode season to drop on Netflix at this time.
What is the plot for 13 Reasons Why Season 3?
The last trailer, released on August 14, 2019, confirmed the focus of the season would be “who killed Bryce Walker?”
The clip names some of the suspects in the death of the rapist.
The teaser suggests that looking into students at Liberty High will unveil all the answers.
Another short clip showed someone opening a locker with a number 3 painted on the door.
Then, an unidentified character walks across the screen.

Here is the Netflix plot summery of Season 3: “Eight months after preventing Tyler from committing an unthinkable act at Spring Fling, Clay (Dylan Minnette), Tony, Jessica (Alisha Boe), Alex (Miles Heizer), Justin (Brandon Flynn), and Zach (Ross Butler) find ways to shoulder the burden of the cover-up together while helping Tyler move toward recovery.

Who is in the cast of 13 Reasons Why Season 3?
All the main cast from the previous seasons will be back.
That includes Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen), Christian Navarro (Tony Padilla), Brandon Flynn (Justin Foley), Justin Prentice (Bryce Walker) and Alisha Boe (Jessica Davis).
However, Katherine Langford, who played Hannah Baker, has confirmed she won’t be back.
She said in an Instagram post in May 2018: “Hannah…I love you…and I let you go’ Those are the words I was able to say six months ago, and now can finally share with you as my journey on 13 Reasons Why has officially come to an end.”
Other cast members who are likely to be back are Ross Butler as Zach Dempsey, Devin Druid as Tyler Down, Stephen Silver as Marcus Cole and Miles Heizer as Alex Standall.
