FANS FURIOUS OVER CASCARINO COMMENTS
Tottenham fans have lambasted former Chelsea and Celtic player Tony Cascarino for saying, on talkSPORT that the Portuguese manager ”offers very little in tactics” after Spurs’ 1-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Cascarino has commented negatively about Mourinho’s management style, accusing him of being ”left behind”.
However, since his appointment in November, the Special One has brought the Lilywhites from 14th to fifth in the Premier League, and are now only one point behind fourth spot holders Chelsea.
Also, as Spurs are without their first choice strike force of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son due to injuries, it may not be fair to comment on the loss as an general view of the team.
One fan highlighted Mourinho’s previous success as a manager, writing in a reply to talkSPORT’s tweet saying: ”This is rubbish, you don’t win what he has without being tactically aware”.
Another fan commented: ”Stop talking as if Spurs were full strength”, a nod to their star players Kane and Son both being unable to play.
