Speculation about the PlayStation 5 may have started already—or whatever PlayStation’s next-gen console will officially be called—but before we get too ahead of ourselves, there are still a lot of new video games coming to the PlayStation 4 this year. Some huge titles like Borderlands 3 and Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order already have release dates, while others are frustratingly stuck in the rumor zone. With PlayStation’s State of Play conference later today and the E3 gaming convention right around the corner, more are bound to be confirmed. Here are all the upcoming PS4 video games we’re pumped to play in 2019.

Rage 2

May 14

A colorful, intense follow-up to the first game, Rage 2 was developed by the same team that brought us the goofy, chaotic Just Cause series. This sequel already looks extremely different from the original, in the best ways, with fast-paced shooting and acrobatic movement in a vibrant open world. We can’t wait. Rage 2 is right around the corner, with a May 14 release date.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled

June 21

This is a remake of the 1999 racer, following the Crash N. Sane Trilogy’s massive success. It was one of the only Mario Kart copycats that actually delivered, and the best “Kart” racer PlayStation has ever seen, with fans drooling to get their hands on this gorgeous HD remake. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled will be released on June 21 for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Borderlands 3

September 13

The long-awaited third entry in the Borderlands series finally arrives on PlayStation in September. This title birthed the shooter/RPG/loot-grind genre, and by the looks of it, is still doing it best. Borderlands 3 will have its signature style, vibrant characters, and engaging gameplay.

Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order

November 15

The fantastic team over at Respawn, which has killed it with Apex Legends and the Titanfall series, is taking on Star Wars. And while publisher EA has a dicey history with the Star Wars license, there is hope, because Respawn consistently pumps out polished and intriguing titles. From the looks of it, Fallen Order will take us back to that long-ago time when Star Wars games were king, following a Padawan during the Emperor’s Order 66 to kill all Jedi. Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15.

MediEvil: Remake

TBD 2019

Sir Daniel Fortesque and his skeletal shenanigans are back, just over 20 years after the original MediEvil charmed players on the PSX. With Crash and Spyro’s return to fame, it seems like we’ll see a lot of the classic platformer/hack-and-slash titles of old make a reappearance. Information about a MediEvil remake is scarce at the moment, but we did see some gameplay and renders in the reveal trailer. It looks gorgeous.

Skull and Bones

TBD 2019

It’s a pirate ship sailing sim, and that’s all we really need to know to get excited. We’ve seen a few like this since the ship in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag left us wanting more, but Skull and Bones seems to put explicit focus on sailing, and sailing alone. The game looks great, and hopefully we’ll learn more about it at E3 this year.

The Last of Us 2

Unconfirmed

Naughty Dog has been a behemoth in the gaming industry, and when fans thought nothing could beat the story and adventure in the Uncharted series, it gave us the phenomenal The Last of Us. This heavy, narrative-driven zombie stealth game left players sweating on the edge of their seats for all the right reasons. It was such a critical success that it got a remaster shortly after its initial release in 2013. The long-awaited sequel has been in the works for awhile now, but is set for a tentative 2019 release date. At E3 2018, we got our first look at it—and it looks awesome.

Cyberpunk 2077

Unconfirmed

A game that’s been on everyone’s mind since it was announced in 2012, Cyberpunk 2077—from the stellar studio that brought us Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red—is sure to be a hit. We finally saw some great gameplay this year, which gave players hope. Maybe we’ll see its release in 2019, or maybe it will be pushed back another five years like Avatar and Kingdom Hearts. Who’s to say? Regardless, Projekt Red has a good track record, and we’re still stoked for this game.

Final Fantasy VII: Remake

Unconfirmed

The fact that we put this on the list is a fucking joke. Let’s be honest: Square Enix takes its time, and we may never see a FFVII remake before 2030 (along with its “Avengers Project” that we didn’t even bother to put on this list). Nevertheless, we’re hopeful. A remake in the Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 engine promises fast-paced combat and gorgeous graphics. Final Fantasy VII often tops Best Of All Time lists, so it’s no wonder Square is going slowly. Limited footage has been released, and that’s enough to get us beyond excited.

PsychoNauts 2

Unconfirmed

I love PsychoNauts, although it’s sometimes a forgotten gem, and I was over the moon to find out we’re finally getting a sequel. The product of crowdfunding from some dedicated fans, PsychoNauts 2 dons the signature art style and characterization that made for such a unique experience in the first one. It’s nice to see a series rebooted, instead of remade. There’s not a lot of information on this title either, but seeing as it’s somewhat of a cult classic, I’m sure we’ll get a juicy drop soon. The original has been re-released on PlayStation 4 and is playable now, and it definitely has our recommendation.

Death Stranding

Unconfirmed

Another title that seems to have been stuck in purgatory for years, Death Stranding is from Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima, a near god in the gaming industry. (This is his first solo title after the Konami drama.) We’ve gotten a few surprising looks into its star-studded cast, as well as some very confusing, wild story. Kojima has always been a bold but caring game developer who puts everything he can into a title, even at the risk of long development times. Death Stranding has all the signs indicating it will be another Kojima hit.
