10pm Chelsea news LIVE: Aston Villa build-up, Tammy Abraham injury latest, Jorginho rues missed chances against West Ham

JORGINHO has blamed Chelsea’s 1-0 home loss to West Ham on poor finishing rather than a European hangover.

The in-form Italy star denied a draining 2-2 Champions League draw at Valencia three days earlier affected Frank Lampard’s misfiring Blues.

And he told Chelsea’s website: “Tired? I don’t think so. Maybe yes, but we created some chances and we did not score when we should and I think that is the problem.

“I think we need to be more clinical when we create a chance. We didn’t and we concede a goal and then West Ham were so closed after they scored and it was difficult.

“They [West Ham] played well. They had some chances and they scored.”

Meanwhile, Tammy Abraham revealed after watching his Chelsea side lose to West Ham that he aims to be back for the next game.

The Blues will face Aston Villa next, desperate to bounce back from the shock home loss to the Hammers.

And looking toothless up top, boss Frank Lampard will be desperate to have his top scorer back in action.

Olivier Giroud replaced the 22-year-old for the 1-0 defeat by West Ham at the weekend.

Abraham is the Blues top scorer this season with 11 goals in 20 appearances.
